Numeracy

My biggest achievement in Numeracy is being able to handle anything in Numeracy and being able to work things out on the spot. I always get12/12 in mental maths and 50/50 on timetables. I get full marks every time and complete everything to the best of my ability. I love Numeracy and I under stand it really well.

Maths Challenge

In maths for a challenge we had to create boxes for a WW2 gas mask from a blank piece of black paper which by using my measuring skills and understanding of nets and 3d shapes I was able to create a strong and sturdy box. I feel I am confidently able to tackle any challenge in mathematics.

Religious and Moral Education

I think that religious education can be really interesting but I have learned that I have to like the area we are working on. All together I also don’t think it is one of my strong points. I do take in the information but just don’t find it very interesting. In some points when we are learning about ourselves and about our beliefs and how we can help each other more I enjoy it and think that it could be one of my skills. I also think that one of my skills in religious education are listening and taking in information.

Baby mobiles

In technologies we usually work in groups which I think is the best way to get round it as we had a limited amount of time and we can get good ideas of each other. We took part in a mini apprentice this year which was really fun. We had to build baby mobiles out of paper, glue and string. We had to make them in good shape and sell posters for them.

Animals

In science we have done a lot about animals and living things. I love it when we get more involved and do experiments. We once went outside in the playground and made smog under the shelter. It was really fun to get more involved with it and I think we learn better when we do it like this. I like it when we learn about animals as I find it even more interesting because I want to be a vet.

Scottish Parliament

In social subjects we were working on the Scottish Parliament this year which I found boring at first but I thought it was getting more interesting as we went along.  I have learned more about how to find things out on the Internet and in books to help me do research. I am also better and presenting this information in pictures, writing, reports.

Health

I have learned a lot about social and mental health this year which I didn’t think too much about before. I want to be a vet or a nurse so I think it is important that I learn more about this. I am learning lots about how we can affect each other and that everyone has a right to be happy and safe. I think that we need to talk more to each other when we are sad and down and we need to listen to each more carefully. I now think that it is just as important to be mentally and socially healthy as well as physically healthy.

Netball

I love health and wellbeing and it is one of my favourite subjects but I still need to work on my running as it is not one of my strengths. My favourite area in health and wellbeing is netball and ball skills. I think that I should continue netball as how much I love It. I am also very active outside of school by going to clubs and going outside playing with my friends. I also think that I am skilled at netball and ball skills.
