Scotland has a national approach<\/a>\u00a0to anti-bullying which is outlined in the \u201cBullying \u2026.. A guide for parents and Carers\u201d leaflet below. The approach aims to build capacity, resilience and skills in children and young people to prevent and deal with bullying.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What is bullying?<\/h3>\n

Bullying can be abuse or harassment of varying kinds including name calling, threats and physical violence.<\/p>\n

Report bullying<\/h3>\n

If your child is the victim of bullying at school, you and your child should report the incident to your child’s teacher or another member of staff.<\/p>\n

The school will investigate and gather evidence of the bullying that has gone on. They will do all they can to find a lasting solution.<\/p>\n

Our anti-bullying policy<\/h3>\n

Our anti-bullying policy<\/a> aims to ensure all North Ayrshire Schools quickly and effectively deal with incidents of bullying. Our schools work to the following core anti-bullying procedures:<\/p>\n

  1. Educational establishments should develop a culture based on the values of wisdom, justice, compassion and integrity.<\/li>\n
  2. Any allegation of bullying should be taken seriously and investigated thoroughly.<\/li>\n
  3. Appropriate action should be taken to resolve incidents in both the short and long term interests of the alleged victim.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n
