They\u2019re also much less likely to have health problems in later life.<\/p>\n<p>*However, it should be noted that poor body image is a growing concern among children, and young people. Research shows that over-focusing on weight, can be stigmatising and can have adverse effects on mental-health. healthy weight:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>be a good role model<\/li>\n<li>encourage 60 minutes, or more,\u00a0of moderate-to-vigorous intensity physical activity each day<\/li>\n<li>keep to child-size portions and eat less processed meals, drinks and snacks<\/li>\n<li>decrease screen time<\/li>\n<li>ensure adequate amount of sleep<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*see section &#8216;<em><strong>Importance of
