This week we started exploring the apothecary garden as part of our John Muir Award. We went outside and did a rough sketch arial view sketch of what is already there. The boxes were not in the best condition and there were only a few chives and some chamomile planted.
Our plan is to make the area look better and plant some new apothecary plants. We have been researching these types of plants and some of our ideas are rosemary, garlic, basil, lavender and caraway.
Here are some images of us exploring the plants and drawing our plans.
I am so glad that you are tackling this area of the school grounds as it has really fallen into disrepair. Being at the entrance to the school, we want it to be welcoming and inviting for visitors too.
