Burns Supper

On Friday 27th of January we enjoyed a Burns Supper along with Primary 7.

Some of the boys in Primary 6 said a Toast to the Lassies while some of the girls did a Reply to the Lads.

We got to taste foods such as haggis, neeps, tatties and shortbread.

Various children recited Scots poems including Leo who was  our class winner.

We all sang Auld Lang Syne and enjoyed listening to the various speakers.

“Some people didn’t like the haggis but at least we all tried it!” Alistair

“I enjoyed getting to eat some shortbread.” Thomas

“I was nervous about reciting my poem again but in the end I said it confidently.” Leo

“I enjoyed getting the opportunity to do the Toast to the Lassies.” Kristopher

  1. What a fantastic Burns Supper! I was so proud of all of you. It was also wonderful to see you being such confident individuals standing in front of an audience and speaking clearly with expression.
