Cross Stitch

Lewis attended Mrs Muir’s cross stitch club. He created a cross stitch design of a Christmas present.

"It was fun doing cross stitch. I would like to attend the club again next year. I gave it to my Gran to wrap for me and I'm going to surprise someone with it at Christmas."

Creating Questions

“We worked in groups to make up questions for another group to answer. We were provided with an information sheet about the history of electricity. We were try to develop skills such as working in trios, communication, questioning and handling different types of information.” Owen

My group found it quite difficult to communicate effectively.” Alistair

” I enjoyed working with other people because we were able to bounce ideas off each other and develop listening and talking skills.” Emma

Angles

In maths, we were learning how to estimate, measure and draw angles using a protractor.

“We know about reflex, acute, straight, right and obtuse angles.” Paige

"I found it tricky to estimate. I'm just getting the hang of using the protractor. Now I need to measure and name acute and obtuse angles with greater confidence."

"In the beginning I was struggling. I needed to remember to turn the sheet and make sure the protractor started in the correct place. My next step is to be able to independently place the protractor in the correct position and measure accurately."

"I'm enjoying the challenge of using the bigger protractor and measuring reflex angles. My next step is to name the angles and measure them with greater accuracy."

Rugby!

We went outside to do some rugby training. We started with some warm ups to get our bodies for exercise.

“Playing rugby outside was really fun. It was more like real life getting to play on the grass. I enjoyed getting the opportunity to practice tackling.” Olivia

“I got some good tips on how to improve. I was told to tackle at the legs of taller people because it’s easier.” Declan

“It was good when Jordan did demos to help us understand better what exactly it was he was looking for.” Reece
