At Loudoun-Montgomery we are very lucky to have strong support from our Community Partners.<\/p>\n
Fullarton Community Hub<\/strong><\/p>\n We have a long standing positive connection with the Fullarton Community Hub which neighbours our school.\u00a0 Many of our families regularly attend events at the Hub and the school are supported at our Events by Donna and her team.\u00a0 The Hub provides a social setting for families as well as health activities, and bringing Health Professionals for surgeries in the heart of the Fullarton Community.<\/p>\n Fullarton Connexions<\/strong><\/p>\n Fullarton Parish Church is also a key school partner.\u00a0 Reverend and Mrs Urquhart play a significant role is supporting the work of the school.\u00a0 We enjoy visiting the Church for Assemblies and events, which includes the Annual Whole School Nativity, led by Mrs Urquhart.\u00a0 We also support the work of Fullarton Connexions, by getting involved in the Christmas Shoe Box Appeal.<\/p>\n Mrs Urquhart and her team of volunteers also lead the weekly Scripture Union after school club on a Wednesday and this is very well attended.\u00a0 A number of our senior pupils also enjoy the annual Scripture Union residential visit.<\/p>\n Local Businesses<\/strong><\/p>\n Local Businesses also provide support for the school as community partners. We have a strong relationship with the local Tesco Supermarket who support our events with donations in addition to providing opportunities for the pupils to learn about the world of work. We also receive generous donations from businesses to support the work of the school.<\/p>\n Fullarton Care Home<\/strong><\/p>\n Our other neighbour is the Fullarton Care Home which we have a strong link with.\u00a0 Our Early Years children have enjoyed well planned and meaningful inter-generational learning.\u00a0 Tracey, our Early Years Manager, and her team worked closely with the team from Fullarton Care Home to train our staff on dementia awareness.\u00a0 This allows our staff to have a greater understanding of the residents and to decide on appropriate activities.\u00a0 Tracey also arranged for the Early Years Team to share key aspects of childhood development with the Care Home Staff to allow them to understand and plan accordingly.\u00a0 The sharing of training was a key driver in the success of the project.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" At Loudoun-Montgomery we are very lucky to have strong support from our Community Partners.
