Loudoun-Montgomery Primary School is located in the Fullarton Area of Irvine on the west side of the River Irvine.\u00a0 It is the centre of a close knit community which is impacted significantly from high unemployment and significant economic challenges.\u00a0\u00a0 86% of the pupils live within SIMD 1 and 2 with 81% living within SIMD 1.<\/p>\n

This is an improvement priority and pupils will be supported to recognise their achievements, celebrate them and identify the next steps in their learning. Pupils will be encouraged to embrace leadership opportunities and as part of the development we will seek recognition for pupil achievements.<\/p>\n Staff will be guided by National and Local guidance and use a wealth of assessment data to select the appropriate programmes for pupils.\u00a0 Formative assessment will be an integral part of the learning, teaching and assessment process.<\/p>\n The curriculum offered by class teachers and the school as a whole will be underpinned by the seven design principles of Progression, Personalisation and Choice, Challenge, Enjoyment, Depth Relevance and Coherence.<\/p>\n An integral part of the curriculum is to prepare our learners for the many transitions they will experience, within and out with school.\u00a0 This includes building resilience and perseverance.<\/p>\n In addition, an essential element is developing skills for learning, life and work, to promote the aspirations of our learners.
