Assistive Technology Solutions

Largs Academy promotes a range of assistive technology (AT) solutions to meet the needs of a broad range of pupils.  AT can help with learning and the production of classwork, tests and exams.  Pupils may have very individual needs and we try to accommodate these.

Autism Spectrum Disorder and the Transition to Secondary School

The Faculty of Pupil Support, in collaboration with the Largs Branch of The National Autistic Society, have prepared a guide to assist pupils with autism to transition to Largs Academy.

We understand that going to secondary school can be a stressful and worrying experience.

We want to help prepare pupils by introducing them to the sights, sounds and people they may encounter.  Parents / carers can download this guide to support their child starting at Largs Academy.
