We had a spooktacular trip to visit the Halloween display at one of our favourite stores. We are getting into the seasonal spirit! We loved the colours, lights and sounds. We even managed a quick BITE in the cafe 🎃 Lots of Spooky sensory to come just shortly….. Keep your 👀 peeled 🍁
This week in Primary C we have been investigating the initial signs of Autumn. As part of our morning routine we sing about the weather and explore its extremities. We love it when it’s sunny or windy. Adding shimmery, crunchy leaves into the mix has put smiles on faces. We have a wonderful seasonal wall taking shape but more on that shortly! We can’t give too much away 🍁
The children have kindly sent in pictures from home of them taking part In our weekly challenges. Keep them coming as we love the feedback and we like to display the results on our wall. All homework set is linked to what we are working on in class so your enthusiasm really means the world to us.
This week we have been super busy building world famous landmarks with our friend Mr Potato head. We have painted with cars and loved watching the effects that followed.
Later in the week we had a bounce off at rebound! I think jumping beans were served at lunch!
The magic carpet has been well used as we chose a musical program that activated with movement. What a fun week. Look out for new homework loaded in bags from today. Please remember to return any outstanding homework by Thursday.
Warmest Wishes from Primary C
This week we have explored our IDL topic that is due to launch. To Infinity and beyond!! Its TOY STORY!!! The children loved the big reveal. We chose our favourite songs, some video clips and got messy during our art lesson. The big favourite was our bingo and matching pairs game. Look inside bags this weekend as our new homework initiative has also launched in Primary C. Every week there will be 2 fun activities to complete at home that are linked to our class work and IDL. We cannot wait to hear how you get on. Can you spot which one of our pupils has earned the official photographer role in class? Loves a selfie.
Hello from a very happy classroom. Primary C have been super enthusiastic and eager to explore as we get settled into our new routine. This week has been all about discovery. We have enjoyed time getting to know each other, as well as familiarising with some of our firm favourites. We enjoyed textured sensory play, lights, music and Rebound therapy. Mr Potato Head came too. Wonder what he’s doing there?! Could he be IDL related? Find out more next week.
So great to be back with our wonderful pupils. Full steam ahead!
Warmest wishes from the staff team.
What a great afternoon we had for Paul’s retirement party. We have been designing and constructing a TOP SECRET crazy golf course for a few weeks. Primary C decided to make a sensory Dragon inspired hole. We even had a singing tee! The children worked so hard and enjoyed every minute….now you know why they have been coming home covered in glitter ✨ More pics of the party to follow but for now enjoy our super cool creation.
Primary C worked tirelessly on creating out super stall for the Garden Fayre. Our items sold out quickly! We would like to thank all those who came along and supported our amazing school. A great turnout as always. Hope you enjoyed the wonderful crafts created by our amazing pupils.
Primary C have been searching for the legendary local Black swan….sadly we haven’t managed to catch up with it yet but we are keeping our eyes peeled when out and about. We spent time down at Irvine beach hoping to catch a glimpse, we did spot some interesting birds on our way. As its summer time we have been planting and keeping our outdoor area clean and tidy. The Eco school committee set us a challenge and we readily accepted.
After all of our hard work we used the SMART board to design our very own garden. Lots of beautiful birds and plants to enjoy. The children really enjoyed making choices and being creative.
We hope to see everyone at out Garden Fayre tomorrow morning. Lots of surprises from our hard working team. Watch this space…….
