All home learning activities for this period of Lockdown will be shared via Seesaw by your child’s class teacher. You can, however, revisit some of the activities blogged during previous lockdown. Our ‘For parents section’ also has lots of useful websites and links including Education Scotland’s complex hub page. If there is anything else we can provide you with for home, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Good morning everyone
Mrs Gribben is very excited because it is Health and Prize-giving week from Monday 22nd June onwards. All of our staff hope you join in with all of the fun activities that our staff have planned for you which will be uploaded to the blog, facebook page and Twitter feed.
For prize-giving I have a special challenge:
It would be great if you could display your star in your window. Mrs Gribben and Mrs Bennett will be visiting everyone to give out certificates on the following days:
Monday – Skye Class
Tuesday – Lewis Class
Wednesday – Mull Class
Thursday – Jura Class
Friday – Arran and Bute Class
Lots of parents/carers have been asking questions about what is happening with regard to our new school. I am delighted to share the latest newsletter about how Morrison’s construction are going to proceed with this.
Good morning everyone,
Sending you all a great big virtual ‘hello’ and hugs.
I have uploaded our next whole school challenge below. It is national outdoors day and even though it is raining outside, it is still important for us all to get our daily dose of fresh air. The challenge this week is simple, just go for a walk as a family or if you are shielding get out for a drive in the car with the windows down to experience the fresh air.
The staff are also doing their own challenge this week of collecting donations for the food bank. So if you are walking past a shop, church or hub that is providing food donations, you may want to pop in and donate an item. Every donation, no matter whether it is small or big will help to make a difference.
Good morning everyone,
You may have seen or heard in social media that some schools are planning a ‘uniform day’ on Friday. As this would be confusing to our children and young people, one of our mum’s has come up with an alternative idea which is one of Haysholm’s favourites! We all love a pyjama day and have had such good fun in school before carrying out activities in our PJs. Therefore on Friday 15th May, our teachers blogs will focus on activities linked to a PJ whole community event.
Remember it’s up to you whether you choose to take part or not. All our teachers will be working from home in their PJ’s, myself included : )) so if you can … share photos via Facebook, Twitter or to the number you have and we can have a giggle #fun and #wellbeing.
