Hi there, this weeks big focus has still  been our celebration rehearsals.  Its all coming together brilliantly. Remember to come and join us on Tuesday for our celebration service.

Our new IDL topic is Celebrations,  and as part of this we have been making a tapestry hanging.  We used our sewing skills and literacy to make our own individual square for the tapestry.

We have also been effective contributors making our hall Celebration display.

Happy New Year to you all.  Mrs Bennett easing us all in gently.   Lots of focus on our Haysholm Birthday Celebration dance. Its coming along a treat but you’ll all have to come to the church to see it.  This week our star pupil was JT.  J was a confident individual participating well and following instructions during the ketchup song rehearsals.

Hiya, well school year is nearly over and we all have had a lovely day.  We danced, sang, ate some party food AND we had a special visitor who gave everyone a present.  We also exchanged gifts with our friends in class. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year xxx

We have been learning about “A Precious Gift” as part of our IDL topic, and this week we wrote our own gift tags and printed our own Christmas wrapping paper which we used to wrap up our own precious gifts that we bought for our friends.

GF was a confident individual participating in our Ketchup Song dance rehearsals.  And what a lucky boy he was as he also got a Head Teacher’s Special Award for behaving well and sleeping over at Elaine’s house.  Well done!!!!

We recently had 4 effective contributors working in a team to make our own handprint Christmas tree display.  GF made the handprints, KF painted the paper green, JT made the star and overwrote some caring and sharing words on the baubles and SS used her scissor skills to cut out the baubles with support from Mrs Bennett.

Yesterday we had lots of fun singing, dancing and watching the Fun Box at the Magnum.

For our topic this week we were learning to recognise and match the words and characters of the Nativity story.

We has a visit from Ross and Michaela from the Palace Theatre in Kilmarnock this week.  We had great fun playing pass the golden egg and dressing up as panto characters.

We are starting our new IDL topic “A Christmas Gift” so hopefully will have some photos of our learning pretty soon.

Hi folks, tis the season to be jolly.  Christmas fayre is over, that means no more enterprise.  We made Reindeer Food, Santa Sweetie Cups, My Christmas List Tree Decoration, Reindeer Tree Baubles and Snowglobes. You will see in the photos that everyone worked really hard preparing and making our items to sell.
