We finished our IDL “Celebration” topic, and as a grand finale we had a party to celebrate the year

We all enjoyed having a dance and a sing a long to all of our favourite party tunes.

We celebrated Easter by making a basket that  we filled  with the  chocolate eggs that we found on our Easter egg hunt.  We used our numeracy skills to count and share the eggs equally between our friends. AND we made a lovely Easter card.

Wednesday last week was Jura class turn to .

Our class was allocated the front garden. G, J and S helped to pick up the litter

and KA passed the bag of litter picking tools on to Mull Class once we were finished with them.

We recently celebrated .  We enjoyed swapping and choosing a book to read whilst relaxing with our friends.

Laura from came to work with us.  We were learning to use our bodies like glue to stick to other people.

Star pupil for last week was KA was a confident individual participating in P.E and rebound therapy.  WELL DONE!!!

Star pupil for this week was  G earned his certificate for independently working through his numeracy and literacy work trays.  WELL DONE!!!

This week we had a jamming session where we got to play a selection of musical instruments while listening to the music that was in the charts when we were born.

We even had a singer in the group.

Star pupil for last week was………… She was a responsible citizen participating in our class Robert Burns assembly.

  And star pupil for this week was……….  He was also a responsible citizen for reciting the Selkirk Grace at our Robert Burns assembly.

We have started a new block for P.E.. Our learning intention is I am learning to play games.  We played tennis.  There was lots of smiles and good hand eye co-ordination.  WATCH OUT WIMBLEDON!!!

Spring is upon us.  We have a new class activity called Plant it, grow it, eat it.  We are learning all about plant growth.  We have chosen to grow potatoes which we will use during our Home Economics to make healthy soup for our lunch.  This is G and S chitting our potatoes.

Celebration topic this week was all about Mother’s Day.  We all made lovely cards for our mums, which we wrote on our own names and lots of kisses.

Hi there, school life getting back to normal after 2 short weeks.  The whole class took part in a special assembly called Celebrating the life of Robert Burns.  We played a quiz, we danced to The Proclaimers, JT recited the Selkirk Grace and we showed off our Scottish Kiltie artwork. We also made some lovely shortbread to share with our friends in school.

We’re all looking forward to our next party as we have been learning to play Pass the Parcel.

This week Jura class had 4 star pupils.  Their certificates were for good participation in our 40th birthday celebrations.
