Remember it’s important to keep active.  Find your favourite Just Dance dance on Youtube and get dancing.

Well done to the five children, who have logged into their Sumdog accounts so far this week. Remember the competitions end at 3pm today.  Get playing!

Good morning chicos, literacy work for today is as follows:

Consonant Group– Your sound this week is ‘ai’.

Think of words with the ‘ai’ spelling pattern, for example snail, mail, hail, nail, rail, rain, pain, hair, fair, lair.  Practise spelling them using a dice and the roll and spell grid (below).  Remember to take photos of your work and post them on the blog.

Vowel Group– Your sound this week is ‘a’ within three letter words.

Think of three letter, cvc words that have the ‘a’ sound in the middle, for example hat, mat, fat, rat, rag, bag, fan, man, tan, ran.  Practise spelling them using a dice and the roll and spell grid (below).  Remember to take photos of your work and post them on the blog.

 

 

 

Well done to the 3 children who started the Sumdog competitions yesterday.  Remember you only have until 3pm tomorrow to complete.

As always, Tuesday is our focussed reading day.  Please complete the first page in the Ticking Text booklet (the booklet has a passage at the top of the page and questions below). Following this, snuggle up on the couch with a parent or sibling and enjoy listening to a story from storylineonline.com.  Happy Reading.

Good morning class, why not start your morning with Just Dance.

Please log into your Sumdog account and complete the new competitions assigned.  You have until 3 pm on Wednesday.  Who will be your groups’ champion???

Hope you are all well.  As we do every Monday morning, please check in with a member of your family-sharing what you did at the weekend and then write about it in one of the jotters provided.  Please start with At the Weekend and remember to try hard to achieve your writing target!  I am also looking for a range of sentence starters and use of fullstops and capital letters. Any problems please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. You can also upload your work by taking a picture and posting it.  Happy Writing!

We had a fantastic day at The Tall Ship in Glasgow.  A big thank you to the pirates, Scary Mary and Scallywag Bec for telling us all about the parts of a pirate ship, what food pirates ate, teaching us a pirate song and taking us on a treasure hunt.
