Can you use your lego to build a boat?
Month: May 2020
Numeracy/Maths Centres
Today, I would like you to complete the Spiral Review Centre.
Some of you might need a little helping hand – Thats ok!
Why not use pasta or lego bricks to help you find the answer to each sum.
Phonics Wednesday
For literacy today, I would like you to practise the phonics flashcards, provided in the literacy learning pack at the start of primary 2.
Following this, I would like you to read your groups phonics poem and write down all the words containing your groups sound.
If you can think of any more words with your sound add them to your list. Ideally, I would like you to have 10 spelling words.
Next, I would like you to choose an activity from the Tic-Tac-Toe spelling grid to practise your spelling words.
Consonant Group– Words with the ‘oa’ sound.
Vowel Group– Words ending in ‘op’.
Remember to take photos of your work and post on the blog.
Good Morning
Morning boys and girls, I hope you are all safe and well.
National No Dirty Dishes Day
If there’s anything that ruins a delicious and enjoyable meal it’s having to do dishes afterward. Wouldn’t it be great if there was a day that you didn’t have to do any dishes? Thankfully that’s the purpose of No Dirty Dishes Day!
You can head out to eat at a local restaurant rather than cooking at home or just decide to use disposable dishes and silverware. Either way, the goal is to not do any dishes on No Dirty Dishes Day!
Reading Comprehension
Please read your groups passage and then answer the questions.
Remember if you can, post your answers on the blog.

Good Morning
Morning boys and girls, I hope you are all well and had a nice, relaxing weekend. It was really lovely to speak to so many of you on Friday. I will give you another call this Friday to find out how your week has been and what you have been doing.
Corey’s Numeracy/Maths Centre Work
Well done, Corey, you got the correct answer for both word problems.
