In our literacy work, we used carouselling to gather our ideas about characters in Charlotte’s Web. We worked in pairs to discuss which words Charlotte could weave next in her web.
Within numeracy and maths, The “Topmarks” website has some super games to reinforce our tables facts.
In R.M.E., we have been learning about Passover and the Seder celebration. You will see an example of a Seder plate in the photos above.
We have also been sorting out “Needs” and “Wants” cards as part of a Health and Wellbeing task.
Pupils have been recalling their tables facts to complete the calculations as well as learning about place value of 3-digit numbers.
Kieran made a super presentation for his personal research homework task. He chose to find out about Robert Burns.
Pupils came up with a variety of ways to present their Famous Scot research homework task. They created posters, books and PowerPoint presentations.
Parents and grandparents enjoyed our Open Afternoon and joined us in our activities.
The Stars numeracy group have been learning about right-angle and went for a right-angle hunt in the class and open area.
Within P5b we have been learning about the properties of 3-D shape, investigating the effect of shape on buoyancy and celebrating success out of school.
Work this term has included sharing success out of school, personal talks, working with 3-D shapes and their nets, a library visit as part of Book Week and finding out about air resistance within science.
