P4G have been learning about our class topic, ‘Arctic Adventure’.  We experimented with what would happen to ice when the temperature dropped/rose.  We really enjoyed this experiment and used our thermometer laser gun to measure the temperature of the environment and the ice after a couple of days.

We have also been learning all about staying healthy.  We made a fruit salad and learned how to cut, chop and slice fruits such as strawberries, bananas, apples and grapes.  It was super tasty!

The circles and triangles have been learning about measuring area, and we have used straws and counters to calculate the area of a rectangle/square.

P4G enjoyed the visit from Eilish McColgan the athlete.  We went to a presentation from Eilish and she then visited our class to show us some of her medals and her running shoes.

In numeracy, some of the children have been learning about direction and right angles.  We had lots of fun going on a right angle hunt in the classroom and the open area.

Some of us also learned about reading and interpreting different typed of graphs.  We liked collecting the data onto a tally chart and then creating pictographs and bar graphs.

We had lots of fun making our items for the Christmas fayre.  We found it difficult not to eat the sweets when we were making the Santa cones!  Luckily, they sold very well after our efforts!
