P5G Curriculum Outline Term 3 2021-2022

We have been learning about division. We were using cubes and hoops to share numbers into groups to divide by 2 and 4.
We have been working on how to keep our bodies healthy. We compared two cereal box food labels to choose which one would be the healthiest option.
On Hallowe’en, we took part in different fun activities. These include pin the nose on the witch and a team building activity to build the mummy.

We have been learning about 2D shape and 3D objects. We were able to describe and match the objects by their properties and also build them using only sticks and jelly tots. It was lots of fun!
We love art, and as part of it, we linked it to our new maths topic. We created symmetrical patterns by painting one side of the picture and folding it in half.
As part of our topic, ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’, we learned how to write our names in both Japanese (as the story is set in Japan) and Arabic!
We had a focus on littering and did a litter pick of the school grounds. We recorded the results on graphs to share with the Eco Committee and school as part of our Green Flag Journey.
