{"id":53,"date":"2017-10-05T20:28:14","date_gmt":"2017-10-05T20:28:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/na\/dykesmainsprimary\/?page_id=53"},"modified":"2025-11-02T14:42:30","modified_gmt":"2025-11-02T14:42:31","slug":"pupil-council","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/na\/dykesmainsprimary\/pupil-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Pupil Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Pupil Council committee is made up of a pupil representing each class.\u00a0 We have a couple of meetings each term where we come together to discuss our agenda which consists of suggestions and work to support our School Improvement Plan.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past year the committee have been working through guidance from Education Scotland called <em>How Good is OUR School?<\/em>\u00a0 This is a self-evaluative policy that encourages pupil voice.<\/p>\n<p>So far, this committee has supported the design and resourcing of the upper learning zones to enhance creativity in their curriculum.\u00a0 IN addition to this, they have evaluated the playground and are building on resources for children, particularly when it is too wet to play on the grass.\u00a0 This term, the children have planned activities for Children in Need and in line with the theme, Challenge to 25, have set the school the challenge of walking 25 miles during fit fifteen as well as creating 25 paper based activities to challenge pupils on the 15th November.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Pupil Council committee is made up of a pupil representing each class.\u00a0 We have a couple of meetings each term where we come together to discuss our agenda which consists of suggestions and work to support our School Improvement Plan.
