Parents and carers offering support in a wide variety of ways to benefit the entire school community. It is a dynamic partnership between the school and its families that works very well for both. Whatever you may be able to give in the way of time or skills, you\u2019ll find a way to get involved that matches your interests and availability. Above all, the Cumbrae Parent Council is a friendly and informal group, especially welcoming to new members of our community.\u00a0 If you would like to help please contact Gail Murphy through the school.<\/p>\n<p>Two Parent Council meetings are held in school every term to\u00a0which all parents are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n<p>Parent Councils are the formal representative body for parents with children attending school. Parent Councils are different in each school to enable them to meet the needs of parents locally. Parents are welcomed to be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Involved with their child\u2019s education and learning;<\/li>\n<li>Be active participants in the life of the school;<\/li>\n<li>Express their views on school education generally and work in partnership with their children\u2019s schools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All parents\/carers are automatically members of the Parent Forum at their child\u2019s school. As a member of the Parent Forum all parents can expect to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive information about the school and its activities;<\/li>\n<li>Hear about what partnership with parents means to our school;<\/li>\n<li>Be invited to be involved in ways and times that suit you;<\/li>\n<li>Identify issues you want the Parent Council to work on with the school;<\/li>\n<li>Be asked your opinion by the Parent Council on issues relating to the school and the education it provides;<\/li>\n<li>Work in partnership with staff;<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy taking part in the life of the school in whatever way possible.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Chair &#8211; Gail Murphy<\/p>\n<p>Treasurer &#8211; Annie Donnelly<\/p>\n<p>Secretary &#8211; Elizabeth McDavid<\/p>\n<p>Members &#8211; Gillian Docherty<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PARENT PARTNERSHIP The Cumbrae Primary Parent Council represents all the parents of Cumbrae Primary!
