Brodick Primary works hard to involve the community in children’s learning. Currently the P1/2s have created a “fairy garden” at Montrose House which has benefited both learners and residents of Montrose House.
Every year at Brodick Primary each class benefits from attending swimming lessons at the Auchrannie Hotel pool. We also run a chess club after school on a Wednesday.
Learners at Brodick Primary are able to take advantage of the local area taking part in activities such as beach cleans, visiting Brodick Castle and playing golf at Brodick Golf Club etc.
Learners have lots of other opportunities at Brodick Primary such as stepping up to be on the Pupil Council, being on the Rights Respecting Schools Committee, Eco Committee and being on the Scottish dancing team.
Brodick Primary also has an open door policy, which allows parents to “check out” the school, meet all the staff and look around the classrooms observing the learning taking place. This helps them to decide to enrol at Brodick Primary.
Brodick Primary has recently received a grant from the National Lottery Community Fund to invest into school resources and helping the community.
