New Term

And so the new term officially begins!

We hope you’ve enjoyed some time relaxing over the holidays, despite not being able to get out and do those normal holiday things. Hopefully the Easter Bunny was still able to make the rounds and you got some chocolate to keep your spirits up. We’d love to hear about ways you’ve been keeping busy at home.

Looking forwards to this new term, we have the opportunity to make the most of this unusual situation. A routine for your week might help things feel a little more normal. Try to get up at a regular (and reasonable!) time each morning and get ready for the day. Maybe set yourself a few hours each week day to have a look on Glow and crack on with some of the work set on SMHW. Don’t forget to get your daily exercise- make the most of being allowed out for a walk/run/cycle (following social distancing guidelines of course!). Do allow yourself some downtime each day, and time to keep in contact with relatives/ friends as well. A regular bedtime will help with the morning routine too.

If you’re not finding it easy to start a regular schedule just yet, try one thing at a time, like setting a regular alarm every morning or going to bed at the same time. Once you’ve conquered that you can add another thing.

Check out the Daily Schedule tab to find resources to help you plan your days.

So, we are setting you the goal of achieving one thing you’re proud of each day. Whether that’s getting up before 11am, actually getting dressed instead of staying in PJs, getting stuck into some school work you’ve been putting off, cooking something yummy, or going for a jog instead of a walk, try something that makes you feel proud of yourself.

We’d love to hear what you manage to achieve!
