IPad Certificate update required before 7th July"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Dear Colleagues&#8217;<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">ICT have been made aware that the Security Certificates used by iPads are due to expire on the 7<sup><span style=\"font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup> of July. This means that after the 7<sup><span style=\"font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup> of July your schools iPads will be unable to connect to the Internet until they have the new Certificate installed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Under normal circumstances, the Learning Technicians would assist schools with this but as currently there is no one in post, ICT have made the following arrangements to assist schools:-<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #000000\">Please follow this link to a \u00a0&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/my\/public\/ictmoray\/uploads\/sites\/5142\/2019\/06\/How-to-install-new-certificate-from-Meraki-MDM.docx\">How to install new certificate from Meraki MDM<\/a>&#8221; document which gives details on installing the new Certificate. As part of the process, the iPad will need to connect to a new Wi-Fi network, which will now be visible in your school. The SSID is <b>IOS-ICT<\/b> and the WPA2 password which has already been sent to your school.<\/span><\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">This Wi-Fi network will only be available for a short period of time to allow these updates to take place. This network will then be monitored to verify that all iPads have been updated on the Meraki system.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\"><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">If the Certificate is not updated by the 7<sup><span style=\"font-size: small\">th<\/span><\/sup> July the iPads will need to be returned to ICT or taken home to connect to a home broadband Wi-Fi connection to allow the update.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">We apologise for the short notice at this very busy time of year for schools due to the fact that ICT Support have only just been made aware. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">If you require any further information or would like to discuss the matter further please do not hesitate to contact me.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Regards David McKay<\/span><\/p>\n<p>david.mckay@moray.gov.uk<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Colleagues&#8217; ICT have been made aware that the Security Certificates used by iPads are due to expire on the 7th of July.
