Dear Colleagues,<\/strong><\/p>\n

Safer Internet Day (SID) 2019 will be\u00a0celebrated globally\u00a0on\u00a0Tuesday 5th\u00a0February 2019<\/strong> and this year the focus is consent online.\u00a0 You can access free education packs for SID 2019 here<\/a>.\u00a0 Each pack comes with some activities, lesson plans, posters and even a presentation which can be used in an assembly.<\/u><\/p>\n

Schools and ELC\u2019s can register as a Safer Internet Day 2019 Supporter here.<\/a>\u00a0 Please visit UK Safer Internet Centre<\/a> for more information.<\/p>\n

Although SID has a particular focus each year, please remember the wider context of Internet Safety and Cyber Resilience.\u00a0 This is also an opportunity for us to reflect on our own practise e.g. locking computers, dealing with fraudulent (phishing) emails etc.\u00a0 There will be an increased focus on cyber resilience across the authority this year so look out for more information in the coming months.<\/p>\n
