1526 – St Michael’s Cross
In the opinion of the late Rev. J L Brown, St Michael’s Cross probably dates from the time when the famous Robert Reid of Kinloss Abbey and Bishop of Orkney was parson of Dallas about the year 1526.
1561 – Transfer of the parsonage of Dallas
The parsonage belongings to the subdeanery was given up for 5 chalders, 2 bolls and 3 firlots!!
1580 – Repairs to Dallas Church
The ancient church was repaired in 1580 but this did not last long and it fell into ruins early in the 17th century.
