Good Morning P2/3! Welcome to week six. This week is ‘Mental Health Week’. Being at home all the time and not seeing your friends is tricky – that’s what most of you told me at our Teams meeting. It can make you feel a bit sad or FRUSTRATED. So every week – but especially this one – we look at ways to stay happy and well and calm as the lockdown carries on to keep us safe.
Reading:
Go to Oxford Owl and find ‘Winnie and Wilbur Stay at Home’. This is a new book about Winnie the Witch and her cat finding things to do in lockdown. You can print the pages to colour the backgrounds – or if you can’t, why not draw and colour you own favourite scene from the book.
Writing:
This week, I’d like you to write a diary about what you have been doing each day and how it made you feel – good or bad. Maybe you were proud of something you baked. Maybe you argued with your brother or sister. Writing things down can help you make sense of things. Add some pictures too if you want.
Maths:
There are new challenges ready to start on Sumdog for this week. Please email or message me on glow if you still need login details.
Health and Wellbeing:
Who’s amazing? All of us! What makes us special people? Print this sheet and fill it in, then make it colourful. Or you can draw your own picture to show the things that make you an amazing person.
Remember to go to Miss McNab’s page too for fun challenges and activities to keep you active!
Have a great week – I will set up a meeting time for our Glow team soon – but keep coming to the page to catch up with classmates and share your work.
Take care!
