We took part in four workshops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop 1: Are farts flammable?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We learned interesting facts about greenhouse gases and global warming.<\/p>\n<p>Without green house gases the average temperature on Earth would be -17 degrees centigrade. (Brrr chilly!)<\/p>\n<p>Global warming means Scotland gets colder but some other countries will get hotter.<\/p>\n<p>Methane is flammable. In the lab, the gas in the taps is pressurised and a smell is added. this makes it less silent and deadly.<\/p>\n<p>Carbon Dioxide is formed when fossil fuels are burned. Humans\u00a0produce CO2\u00a0when we breathe out,\u00a0 burp and fart.<\/p>\n<p>Trees use CO2\u00a0to grow. They pump out oxygen into the atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>We blew air from our lungs into test tubes containing calcium hydroxide. We decided they need wings and energy. He probably should have worn goggles.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Electricity is a form of kinetic energy.\u00a0 It is always moving. We produced electricity using a bike dynamo and saw a model of how a dam works.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workshop 3: Paper Creations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Workshop 4: Puff Power<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>We used paper, sticky tape and bottle tops to make wind-powered cars.
