Newmill Primary School serves the community of Newmill and the surrounding country area.  The present building was built in 1988 and has one traditional style classroom as well as a large open plan area which presently houses 2 composite classes and the school library.  The school has a large gym hall and an enclosed courtyard area at its centre. Newmill currrently has 51 pupils split between a Primary 1-3, Primary 4/5 and a Primary 6/7.
