In 1814, Forres man Jonathan Anderson, founded Anderson\u2019s Free School on the site of Forres House Community Centre.\u00a0 This became Anderson\u2019s Institute and later Forres Academy.\u00a0 The hall\/gymnasium originates from this time.\u00a0 The main teaching block\u00a0where the classrooms are housed\u00a0comprises the original Forres Academy building of 1926.<\/p>\n
The building was then modernised in 1971 and converted for use to\u00a0become the\u00a0primary school that is ‘Anderson’s Primary School’<\/strong> today.<\/p>\n A colourful Millennium Tapestry, designed and constructed by the parents and children of the school is displayed on the lower corridor.
