SSERC are delighted to be able to share their new on-line resource STEM by the Book.<\/p>\n

They have taken inspiration from a range of children\u2019s books and linked them to a range of SSERC practical activities.\u00a0 These resources are designed to support STEM and Literacy.<\/div>\n

With an increased emphasis on building literacy skills these resources will be really useful in supporting settings across the country.<\/div>\n

Each activity is closely linked to the story and makes use of easy to access resources.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The books and activities are linked to CfE Early, First and Second Level Experiences and Outcomes and are designed to support reading, listening and talking.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n

With an emphasis on understanding, analysing, evaluating and investigating \u2013 the resources aim to engage learners with increasingly complex ideas, structures and specialist vocabulary for different purposes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
