Institute of Physics School Grant Scheme
- Amount awarded – up to £600
- Grants are for projects or events linked to the teaching of physics or engineering
- Grants can be used to cover the following costs related with your project:
- Materials and resources
- Transport
- Supply cover (in certain circumstances)
- Your application must be for costs associated with a NEW project
- The project must add value over and above the basic curriculum requirements. IOP will not accept applications for equipment/resources to deliver the curriculum
- Deadline for application – 1st of June (for projects taking place in the following Autumn term) and the 1st of November (for projects taking place in the following spring term)
Royal Society of Chemistry Outreach Fund
- Support, empower and inspire school-aged learners to become more connected with and enjoy chemical science
- Amount available – Up to £5000 (small grant) and between £5000 and £10,000 (large grant)
- Deadline for submission – 4th of July, 1st August, 5th September, 3rd of October and 7th of November
Ernest Cook Trust Outdoor Essentials Grant
- Amount awarded – £500
- Grants are awarded to schools for transport and travel to Outdoor Learning venues or to fund projects that provide nature on the doorstep.
- ECT’s funding priorities are to schools that:
- Are in areas of high deprivation and/or have pupils who live in deprived areas
- Are committed to enabling outdoor learning and see environmental engagement as an important part of education
- Demonstrate that outdoor learning will have a wider benefit to families and to their local community
Armourers & Brasiers’ Company – Primary School Science Grant
- Amount awarded – £600
- Grants are awarded to purchase equipment so that students can enjoy practical science or to run science enrichment projects in schools.
- Grants are made in support of eligible applications in the order in which they are received until the funds available in the financial year (ending 31st March) are exhausted.
- Your school must not have received a grant from the Gauntlet Trust in the current or previous financial year
The Royal Society Partnership Grants
- Amount awarded – up to £3000
- Grants are awarded to schools to enable students to carry out STEM projects
- The Partnership Grant scheme offers up to £3000 for schools to buy equipment to allow them to run a STEM investigation project. These projects are to be run in partnership with a STEM professional (research or industry)
- The partnership between School and STEM partner needs to be established before starting the application
- Application deadline – end of June and end of November
