Finally (after a small technical hitch late last night) the Nursery sports day photos are here. I hope you enjoy the slideshow, I tried my best to include all the children but we will also print the photos and display in Nursery later this week!

Many thanks to our Nursery boys & girls who coped so well with the change of plan today, they are all amazing & I think we have some future Olympic stars at Lawfield.
Thanks also to the brilliant P6 helpers & P6 staff who again supported us with our last minute plans. The children had a great day, I think the highlight of their day was my surprise sack race for the staff however I am not sure the staff would agree!
More photos will be online soon.

In response to our online appeal many parents donated items for our loose parts table. The table has proved very popular this week and has inspired many creative ideas. The Nursery team plan to develop this further and are looking at ways to introduce something similar to our outdoor area. The original idea came from a website the team often use called Stimulating Learning.
This weekend I have been reading about the theory of loose parts and if you would like to know more you can follow the links below:

Mrs Duffy and I attended a presentation event at McSence tonight to collect a very generous grant to fund a literacy shed for our Nursery garden. The shed will allow the children to have access to writing and reading materials within their outdoor learning environment. I would like to take this opportunity to thank McSence for their contribution and wonderful hospitality tonight. Thank you to Izzy for taking the photographs!
