Parents Evening
Nursery Parent Appointments October 2015
Appointments will take place on:
- Monday 5th October 8:30 – 3:30
- Tuesday 6th October 8:30 – 11:30
- Tuesday 6th October 4:00 – 6:30
- Appointments are for pre-school children only.
- Sign up sheets will be up in Nursery this week for Monday and Tuesday daytime appointments only

Play Therapy
We are delighted to be joined in Nursery every Wednesday by Sue Wallis an experienced Play Therapist. Sue is offering our families a new and exciting service.
Parents and Carers sometimes need to talk about worries they have about the children they care for – to make sense of their behaviours, and to explore ways to help. Sue is offering a supported space in which to do this. She will listen to your concerns, help you think about what you can do and what other supports might also help.
If you would like to make a consultation to speak to Sue please fill in one of the Play Therapy slips available in Nursery.
Nursery staff and some parents have already found it an invaluable addition to our Nursery and we hope you will make the most of this exciting new service! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Group Time
Now all our new children are settled, it is time for us to start our group work again. Group time starts at 9:00/1:00 each day. It is an important time for your child to spend with their key-worker talking about their learning, taking part in planning, sharing news and much more. We ask that your child is now in Nursery by 9:00 or 1:00 at the very latest (unless otherwise agreed with staff) to allow us to work with the children in a quiet and calm environment. It is very disruptive for children when staff are leaving their group to answer the door.
Our doors are open at the following times each day:
8.30am – 8.50am
12.25pm – 12.45pm

Numbers are all around us
On Friday some children went on a number hunt in the school to see where they could find numbers and what they are being used for.
Number challenge:
We are creating a display in Nursery called ‘Numbers are all around us’ and would like the children to help by bringing in items with numbers. For example your child could bring in a bus ticket, a menu, a cinema ticket or a receipt. We look forward to seeing what you find.
