A huge thank you to everyone who contributed towards our recent Easter fundraiser. We were delighted to raise £224.99 at the Easter bake and book sale but couldn’t believe how generous everyone was with the Easter sponsor. I am pleased to announce the sponsor raised £759.10 for Nursery funds. Thank you to Mrs Anderson for all her hard work organising this successful fundraiser.

On Thursday Mrs Duffy and I hosted the second Midlothian Early years ICT working party in the Nursery. Tori from Cranston Country Nursery introduced learning journals by giving a demonstration of how it is used in her setting. Lawfield Nursery staff are very interested in the use of online profiles and this was an excellent opportunity for us to find out more about how they could be used within our Nursery.

We are delighted to be working with Midlothian Sure Start. After feedback earlier in the year from our families we held meetings with Sure Start staff to plan events within the Nursery. On Tuesday 17th March we launched our first coffee afternoon and would like to thank everyone who attended. This week we are holding our first morning session on Tuesday 31st March at 8:30 in the Nursery creche. Everyone is welcome, it is a great opportunity to chat with Sure Start staff, Nursery staff and families.
More information on Sure Start can now also be found on the information board within the Nursery cloakroom.
