Broomieknowe Golf Club is a really fun interactive place. It is an eighteen hole golf course.It also has a mouth-watering bar that you can eat your lunch and dinner at.  There is a hard course that you can have a challange at.  It’s good for people in the community that like golf because its a short walk and if you have spare time.  It’s also good for using up all of your energy and keeping fit.

Bonnyrigg High Street has a lot of different shops to go to including the Co-operative, Hair SK, The new ice cream and cake shop, Tessutis and many more. The High Street also has a library and a market next to the leisure centre which is open every Thursday. The Market has a sweet stall, fish, fruit and vegetables and much more.
In the High street you can:
Get a new look at a selection of hairdressers, borrow up to ten books at the library with a library card, cool of in the summer at Tessutis ice cream and cake shop, get your shopping at the Co-operative, walk the dog or have a picnic in the park next to the leisure centre, buy a delicious lunch at Greggs the bakers and buy lovely meat at the butchers.

The new community hospital provides 88 beds, 40 frail elderly continuing care beds and 48 elderly mental health beds. These include 24 assessment beds and 24 continuing care beds for older people with mental health problems.

The new community hospital also includes a day hospital for older people with mental health problems, a dedicated physiotherapy and occupational therapy service, an out-patient department, including x-ray service, child health clinics, and a range of other health services. Lothians GP out-of-hours service has been moved from the former Bonnyrigg Health Centre into the new hospital.

Lasswade High School has over 5373 people in the school. It has many subjects such as Home Economics, Religious Studies, English, German, Drama, Maths, and Science.
Pupils, Parents and the whole community are encouraged to continue to make use of the facilities for educational, social, recreational and sporting activities. These activities and courses are widely publicised.
School students are encouraged to take part in activities which are not part of the timetabled subjects. A broad programme of clubs and other interest-based activities are on offer. Amongst others, there are various sports clubs like basketball, badminton and table tennis as well as the more usual football, rugby and athletic events.
There is a strong music tradition within the school with regular concerts and performances. Many teachers offer the facilities of their departments at various times, such as lunchtime, for students to develop their own interests.
