Class Teacher:<\/strong> Mr Trench<\/p>\n

Hello everyone! We have an exciting and busy term ahead in P5! Here is a little overview of some of the learning we will be focusing on across the curriculum.<\/p>\n

Literacy <\/strong>
\nWe will focus on personal writing, alongside developing reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, punctuation and handwriting skills.<\/p>\n

Numeracy & Mathematics <\/strong>
\nPupils will develop number and place value skills and explore mental strategies for addition and subtraction, with appropriate support and challenge.<\/p>\n

Health & Wellbeing <\/strong>
\nWe will explore growth mindset, goal setting and Meta-Skills, developing confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence.<\/p>\n

Physical Education <\/strong>
\nOur focus will be athletics, developing running, jumping and throwing skills, alongside teamwork and sportsmanship. PE days are Tuesday and Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Social Studies<\/strong>
\nOur topic is Italy, exploring its geography, cities, landmarks, culture and way of life.<\/p>\n

Technologies & ICT <\/strong>
\nPupils will develop computational thinking and digital skills through sequencing, algorithms, problem-solving and debugging.<\/p>\n

Expressive Arts <\/strong>
\nWe will develop drawing and observational skills through line, shape, pattern, tone and texture.<\/p>\n

Religious & Moral Education <\/strong>
\nPupils will explore religious festivals and celebrations, comparing traditions and the values they represent.<\/p>\n
