Visible Learning at Whinhill<\/strong><\/p>\n

Whinhill is a Visible Learning school. Visible Teaching and Learning occurs when teachers see learning through the eyes of pupils and helps them become their own teachers<\/strong>.\u00a0 We believe that it’s vital that our pupils can confidently talk about themselves as assessment capable learners and are armed with a \u2018toolkit\u2019 of strategies to help them learn.<\/p>\n

\"\"Over the past year we have been working hard to decide on which learner dispositions we will focus on in our school. Parents, staff and pupils all voted on what dispositions they thought were best. We are glad to announce we have our six dispositions which are:<\/p>\n

Challenge,<\/span> Communication, \u00a0<\/span>Creative, \u00a0<\/span>Independence,\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Ownership<\/span> and Resilience<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Although we are mainly focusing on the six chosen dispositions, we will still be working hard to develop all learner dispositions.<\/p>\n
