Welcome to our P7 webpage! P7 is such a busy and exciting time for us and we can\u2019t wait to share it with you. It will go by so quickly and we will have lots of fun along the way! We strive to lead the school in a positive and enthusiastic manner, being role models to the younger pupils and promoting our school values. We have already began our roles as Buddies to our P1 and P2 pupils, showing them the Whinhill Way!<\/div>\n

In primary 7 we are visible learners which means that we play an active role in our learning journey, identifying personal targets and how to achieve these. We are keen to develop our learner dispositions by taking ownership of our learning, becoming independent learners, building our resilience, challenging one another and communicating effectively.\u00a0A growth mindset is very important to us and we are not scared to try new things and make mistakes\u2026we know this is essential for learning! As a rights respecting school, we value the rights of others and model this for the rest of our pupils.<\/div>\n

We develop a variety of skills in our class to prepare us for high school and beyond. Our leadership roles across the school community provide the perfect opportunities to develop our confidence and responsibility. We will be taking part in a playmakers course with Active Schools which will allow us to develop and run playground games for the younger children in our school.<\/div>\n
We work closely with our feeder high school, Inverclyde Academy, which helps prepare us for our transition to secondary. As primary 7, we have many opportunities to lead a variety of events which we hope that our parents and carers will be able to attend.<\/div>\n
