P7 Newspaper

This week we handed out our first newspaper for February, our next   one will be March (you will either get it the end of march or the start of April).

February we had Mrs Ruddy’s column, our comedy column and our inspirational quote of the week.  We also had Mrs. Hunters column and other interesting things u can find on twitter.  The p7s  chose the playmakers of the month in the sports column.

The p7s chose the joke , riddle and maths question of the month which will keep you busy.

Rugby with Miss M

On Tuesday we were playing Rugby in P.E. First we warmed up with benchball, dodgeball and king. King is basically dodgeball but you pick someone to be king or queen in each team, and then you tell the teacher who it is and then you begin the game. If you get hit by the ball you sit down and the king/queen taps you on the shoulder but if the king/queen gets hit by the ball the opposing  team wins the game. Then we started with rugby.  Firstly we ran lines in groups of three to practise passing backwards. Then we played 10 pass which is a game that you will get split 4 teams and 2 teams go against each other to see what team can get ten passes first without getting  intercepted (the ball getting hit out of play)  overall it was very fun!!

Our week at Whinhill

10.03.22                                                P7 Weekly  Blog

This week in P7 we have done loads of things!

Currently, we are making a space news timeline, including all of the big space events that have changed history. We have been doing this with Miss Friedlein  and will be continuing next Wednesday.

On Thursday we researched the similarities and differences between Spain and Scotland. We found out many interesting things about both countries, as well as doing 2 math’s assessments earlier that day.

For the past couple of weeks we have been focusing on angles with Miss Mutton, but particularly this week we have been learning about corresponding and alternate angles.

In reading, the orange group have been reading Double Act by Jacqueline Wilson. Many of us that have read this book in the past have really enjoyed it and would really recommend this book.

We can’t believe it’s almost Term 4! This means even more assessments 🙁

We hope everyone has a great weekend. Thank you for reading this weeks blog. Bye!
