Our Wellbeing Agenda<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Wellbeing is defined as being in a comfortable, healthy or happy state. At Wellpark we believe that the wellbeing of all, children, parents and staff is important. By prioritising wellbeing we aim to ensure that parents feel supported, staff provide the best service and that children thrive.<\/p>\n

Children’s wellbeing is the basis for all their experiences. A child who is hungry, tired or unable to manage their emotions may find it more difficult to engage with learning in the playroom.<\/p>\n

How do we support your child’s wellbeing<\/strong><\/h2>\n

  1. We build secure, nurturing relationships with our children that help them to feel secure.<\/li>\n
  2. We provided stimulating environments which encourage children to engage in learning which interests them and challenges them to achieve<\/li>\n
  3. We role model positive behaviour, manners and kindness throughout our playrooms<\/li>\n
  4. We respects children’s voices and opinions and include them in decisions which affect them such as what we provide for snack.<\/li>\n
  5. We use the PATHS programme to help children understand and manage their emotions.<\/li>\n
  6. We use nurturing positive language which helps children to manage themselves and their emotions within social situations.<\/li>\n
  7. We do yoga and children take part in regular exercise and encourage a love of the outdoors through unrestricted outdoor play.<\/li>\n
  8. Children are provided with a nutritious snack daily<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How Do We Suppo<\/b>rt Parents Wellbeing<\/b><\/h3>\n

    1. We build positive relationships with families which help them feel confident when leaving their children in our care<\/li>\n
    2. We signpost families to services which can support them<\/li>\n
    3. We work closely with our partners in Barnardos to provide family support<\/li>\n
    4. We provide free sanitary products for all<\/li>\n
    5. We encourage parents to recognise the benefits of outdoor play, risky pay and children developing their independence skills.<\/li>\n
    6. We acknowledge that being a parent can be stressful and we aim to support parents who are finding parenting difficult.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
