ADMISSIONS<\/strong><\/h1>\n

All Nursery places are allocated in line with the Council admissions policy.<\/p>\n

Applying For a Placement<\/b><\/h2>\n

To apply for a Early Learning and Childcare place, you should complete an application form, around the time your child turns two years old or before 31st January each year. The nursery application form is available from any Inverclyde Council nursery school\/class or partner establishment and on Inverclyde Council Website. All children who are eligible for a nursery place are asked to list, in order of priority, up to three nursery choices. Only one application form must be submitted. Although children are guaranteed a place within either a council establishment or within a partnership establishment we cannot guarantee your choices or your pattern of attendance. Once completed forms should be submitted to your first choice nursery.<\/p>\n

Proof of your child\u2019s date of birth in the form of their birth certificate and address must be produced when submitting your application. Forms submitted without this evidence will not be accepted at any establishment.<\/p>\n

All applications must be presented and an admission panel before any place will be allocated. If your circumstances change which affect the application you must inform the Head of Centre.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Applying For a 2-3 Year Old Place<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Funded Early Learning and Childcare for Eligible 2 Year Olds<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are a parent of a two-year-old child and are in receipt of certain benefits you could qualify for Funded Early Learning and Childcare.<\/p>\n

Do I meet the criteria?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Children will be allocated places according to the criteria listed below. (N.B. eligibility criteria are subject to change in line with any amendments to the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014):<\/p>\n

Your child can access 1140 hours of funded ELC at the eligible intake date after their 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0birthday, if you meet one or more of the following criteria:<\/p>\n
