In preparation for starting school children visit St Patrick&#8217;s Primary School throughout the year. They visit P6 and develop relationships with the children who will become their buddies.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">They get to know what a school looks like. This helps children be more confident when it becomes time to start school themselves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">After January the children take part in joint projects with their buddies and their friends in P1. All of these experiences\u00a0help make the transition from nursery to Primary much easier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Children who are not moving on to St Patrick&#8217;s will have opportunities to visit a school and take part in transition work after the New year.
