Welcome to the Physics department at St Stephens high school. Physics is the study of the world around us and how we can use equations describe the four forces of nature.<\/p>\n
In S3 Physics pupils will recap topics covered in S1 and S2 then start new topics. They will first work on their mathematical skills and how to manipulate equations. Pupils will then cover the energy topic followed by forces. After this pupils will build on the skills they have learnt and start the National 5 physics course.<\/p>\n
Physics is offered at five levels in the senior phase. The five levels are National 5, National 4, National 3, Higher and Advanced Higher. The document below contains a breakdown of each course and how it is assessed.<\/p>\n
