St Stephen’s High School has three Associated Primary Schools, St Francis’, St John’s & St Michael’s. Teachers and management from St Stephen’s High School pay regular visits to all three schools each year\u00a0helping the school to maintain an excellent relationship with primary staff and pupils. These include subject, Guidance and Support for Learning staff<\/p>\n

In Primary 7, pupils get a number of opportunities to visit St Stephen’s prior to joining the school the following year.<\/p>\n

Over the last few years, P7 pupils have visited St Stephen’s on a Wednesday afternoon for 12 weeks. During this time they attend lessons in Science, ICT and Home Economics for 4 weeks each.<\/p>\n

The same pupils also attend the school for three days in June. On this visit they follow the same timetable they will use in August and\u00a0get to experience\u00a0the full school day\u00a0from registration\u00a0to period\u00a07.<\/p>\n

These visits help pupils to become familiar with the school and the teachers and\u00a0also provides them with the opportunity to meet their new classmates. It also helps\u00a0pupils to settle\u00a0more quickly\u00a0when\u00a0they join us\u00a0in August.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, members of St Stephen’s staff attend P7 Parent’s Evenings throughout the year and also, a member of St Stephen’s staff is a co-opted member of the three Primary School Parents’ Councils<\/p>\n
