Parental engagement focuses on ways in which parents, carers and families can best be supported to develop the skills and confidence to engage in, and encourage, their children\u2019s learning in school and in everyday life.<\/p>\n

Family learning<\/h2>\n

Family Learning is a great way\u00a0\u00a0to learn new ideas on how to support your children\u2019s learning\u00a0 at home. Family learning programmes are designed to encourage family members to learn together. They can help build confidence, skills and interest for adults and children and enable families to learn from each other. Our Barnardo’s Family Support Worker runs this group every week throughout the year. This is a relaxed time to spend with your child. It gives you, the parents time to talk and help with learning tasks as well as having a cuppa and a chat.<\/p>\n
