Information regarding August 2020 intake\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Inverclyde Council has agreed to continue to deliver 1140 hours during the course of session 20 \/ 21.\u00a0\u00a0 ELC settings will work towards this during session 2020 \/ 21 with all children receiving their full entitlement as soon as \u00a0COVID -19 restrictions are removed.\u00a0 If you have applied for a blended placement (nursery and childminder) you will be contacted by a member of the Education HQ team to discuss options.<\/i><\/p>\n

Information on placements was due to be issued to parents on 19 June 2020; however the decision was taken on 17 June \u00a0to delay this process to allow Heads of Early Learning and Childcare Settings and Primary Schools to match patterns of attendance for siblings. \u00a0The following \u00a0information will be issued to all parents WB 22nd\u00a0June 2020:<\/i><\/p>\n

At St. Francis’ Nursery class we can accommodate for 15 children aged 2-3 years and 24 children aged 3-5 years<\/p>\n

Our core hours are 9:00am – 3:00pm<\/p>\n

Duty of Candour Report \u2013 Daycare of Children Service<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>St Francis Nursery Class \u2013 Nil Report<\/strong><\/p>\n

All health and social care services in Scotland have a duty of candour. This is a legal requirement which means that when things go wrong and mistakes happen, the people affected understand what has happened, receive an apology, and that organisations learn how to improve for the future.<\/p>\n

An important part of this duty is that we provide an annual report about the duty of candour in our services. This short report describes how our care service has operated the duty of candour during the time between 1 April 2023 and 31 March 2024. We hope you find this report useful.<\/p>\n

  1. How many incidents happened to which the duty of candour applies? <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the last year, there have been no incidents to which the duty of candour applied.<\/p>\n

    1. Information about our policies and procedures <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      \u00a0<\/strong>Where something has happened that triggers the duty of candour, our staff report this to the nursery manager who has responsibility for ensuring that the duty of candour procedure is followed. The manager records the incident and reports as necessary to the Care Inspectorate. When an incident has happened, the manager and staff set up a learning review. This allows everyone involved to review what happened and identify changes for the future.<\/p>\n

      All new staff learn about the duty of candour at their induction. We know that serious mistakes can be distressing for staff as well as people who use care and their families. We have access to occupational health support in place for our staff if they have been affected by a duty of candour incident.<\/p>\n

      Where parents or children are affected by the duty of candour, we have arrangements in place to provide support as necessary.<\/p>\n
