Maths inside is a photo competition open to everyone living in Scotland. Maths is part of our daily life but sometimes we don’t really think about it.
- Can you see the maths inside everyday objects?
- Can you see the maths surrounding us in the wild or in your town?
- Can you complete the pattern?
- Can you see the maths inside?
All you need to do is take a photo of whether maths is present in the wild, in your town or in daily life and send it in to the team at Maths Inside. You could win up to £50 worth of Amazon vouchers.

Scottish Maths Challenge 2019
The Mathematical Challenge is a problem solving competition for individual pupils in Scottish secondary schools and upper primary schools (mainly P7). The aim is to promote mathematics as a source of interest and pleasurable achievement.
The competition is divided into four divisions: Primary (P7), Junior (S1 and S2), Middle (S3 and S4), and Senior (S5 and S6). Each year there are two rounds of problems for Secondary schools and three rounds for Primary schools.
