Their time in the department is split evenly between the three sciences \u2013 biology, chemistry and physics \u2013 where they explore a vast range of experiences and outcomes. The S2 Broad General Education curriculum develops a pupil\u2019s interest and enthusiasm for science through investigation, experimentation and scientific inquiry. Topics are contextualised with real world examples and topical scientific issues are explored and debated. The outline of our S2 Broad General Education curriculum is detailed below:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Biology<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>DNA<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Cell division <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Organ systems<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Reproduction <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Chemistry<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>The periodic table <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Elements <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Compounds <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Physics<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Electricity <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Forces <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Space <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Course Assessment Information<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Pupils experience a mixture of Level 3 and 4 experiences and outcomes in the S2 Broad General Education curriculum.
