S1-S3 BGE Pupils are expected to attempt and complete around 3 \u2018Home Learning\u2019 Tasks\/Activities within each \u2018Unit\u2019 of the Course\/Programme. Usually about 2 \u2018Practical\u2019 Tasks and 1 \u2018Literacy\u2019 or Written Task.<\/u><\/p>\n
S4 and S5\/6 Pupils following courses at N3, N4 or N5 or Higher are required or expected to make a great deal of personal commitment. Homework Tasks are fairly frequent and there is the \u2018added\u2019 responsibility of Class Coursework. Practical work should be completed in class \u2018period by period\u2019 and \u2018week to week\u2019, if work or progress falls behind pupils are expected to be responsible and do at home.\u00a0 The written assignments are initiated in class and an appropriate amount of time (2 periods) is allocated for Tasks on a weekly basis.\u00a0 Once again if a deadline is imminent and some tasks are incomplete – pupils are expected to be conscientious\/responsible and complete at home.<\/p>\n
In the event of absence\/illness pupils are expected to \u2018make up\u2019 the time lost by checking what has been covered \/completed in class and then \u2018catching up\u2019 at home.<\/p>\n
