{"id":140,"date":"2020-10-09T14:11:18","date_gmt":"2020-10-09T13:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/in\/newarknur\/?page_id=140"},"modified":"2022-01-13T12:34:06","modified_gmt":"2022-01-13T12:34:06","slug":"community","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/in\/newarknur\/community\/","title":{"rendered":"Community"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At Newark we like to be out and about in our community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-271 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/in\/newarknur\/files\/2020\/10\/pc-john.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"147\" height=\"196\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We often have our community police officer, PC John into visit , the children are very familiar with him and know that he is someone who keeps us safe and helps us.<\/p>\n<p>Our Community Learning and Development\u00a0 contact is James, he keeps us up to date with courses for our parents.<\/p>\n<p>We often have visitors into see us, we especially like when Iain comes from the Salvation Army to play his instruments and sing songs with us, we learn new songs and have great fun dancing. Our lollipop lady comes to visit too<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We visit our local care home ,Newark Care Home. The children have built up relationships with the older generation and enjoy participating in shared activities.
